Store your microfilm
- Store your microfiche
- Store your aperture cards
- Maintain the correct storage conditions with MES Hybrid Document Systems
- Prolong the life expectancy of your film, fiche or cards
When stored in the correct conditions, microfilm records can easily last for over a century; however the challenge comes when one tries to replicate the exact conditions stipulated by Agfa, Kodak and/or the ANSI/AIIM Standard TR13-1998. Fluctuations in humidity and temperature can have disastrous effects on your microfilm collection and significantly reduce its life expectancy.
Ideally microfilm should be kept clear of solvent vapors, ozone producing products (i.e. photocopiers), freshly painted areas, relative humidity outside the range of 20%-40%, and temperatures bellow 21°C (70°F). However, we know in today’s world these conditions are nearly impossible to meet, that is why MES Hybrid Document Systems has developed our state-of-the-art archival storage vault.
Our climate controlled, air-lock sealed, vault not only meets but exceeds the standards put forth by Agfa, Kodak and the ANSI/AIIM Standard TR13-1998 to ensure the 500 year life expectancy of microfilm.
